I tried to use the resetting methods and the problem is still there. I cannot rename my character.
@sassysnowflake1 and @AngelofDeath1203 Please disable any apps you use that come with overlays: Steam, Discord, etc. Please also disable the EA App overlay, which you can do through the App settings.
If this doesn't help, let me know what language you play Sims 4 in and what language your system uses.
@graverose2003 Please disable any overlays you have running: Discord, Steam, etc. Disable Origin in-game as well: hover over your username, select Application Settings, then the Origin in-game header, and disable the option at the top.
I'm not sure what you mean when you say you tried all the resetting methods. If the above doesn't help, please let me know what else you've done that hasn't worked.

I did this and my issue resolved
Can you explain how to do this to the EA app? I don't have anything else that creates an overlay. Thanks
@oxfordsplice Click the three lines in the upper-left corner of the EA App window and choose Settings. I believe the overlay setting is in the Application section, but if you don't see it there, check the other sections.
