I Can't play the Sims anymore

Product: The Sims 4
Platform:Mac
Which language are you playing the game in? English
How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
What is your current game version number? 1.60.54.1220
What expansions, game packs, and stuff packs do you have installed? Get Famous, Get to Work, and Seasons
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Go to the area where you select which sim household you want to play as.
What happens when the bug occurs? When I hover over a household, it will show a loading sign instead of a family. Then when I click on the household it does not show any sims from it in the bottom left corner, and I'm not able to play as them, or anyone else I've made. I can also create a sim and press play, but once I do that I cannot see any of the sim's needs, or the sim itself. (Including all other options such as work, and age, etc)
What do you expect to see? A household to play as, and my sim and my sim's needs.
Have you installed any customization with the game, e.g. Custom Content or Mods? Not now. I've removed them.
Did this issue appear after a specific patch or change you made to your system? Yes
Please describe the patch or change you made. The game had just updated.

Hi, so I have a problem with my game where you cannot see your sim, your households, and cannot play as your sim unless you create one and play, but even so the game still does not work, and you can't see/use any of the regular functions of the game. (Sorry if that sentence sounds a little weird I'm trying to explain this stuff quickly.

So anyway, I have tried to find solutions to fixing this, and I honestly don't know if it's possible. I removed my custom content (cc) from the game, I tried the repair button, and even uninstalled the game, yet the problem still continues.

I don't know if anyone has a solution, but I'd be really grateful if they did. 🙂

  • Remove Mods First if you have mods sometimes it deletes mod content before update, go back to previous save.

There was a Bug a while back that prevented you from interacting with the UI if a Sim from Get to work was saved in the middle of the active career at the active lot.  If you play more than one household check to make sure all playable households are home from their active work career.  This bug only effects households UI when the game is saved in the middle of a active work lot and exit the game or exit to menu, and load the game back up and select a different household.  This only effects rotational gameplay.  If that is not the case it may be a new bug.
