I downloaded sims 4 from a new computer and now my files, not saves, are missing

First I got sims 4 on disc earlier this year, all the files were there, it was in the C drive, and origin had no problems. A week ago now I switched computers with my mom's old one. The C drive doesn't have enough space for sims 4 so it's in the D drive with enough space. It runs fine with my packs (seasons, cats and dogs, eco lifestyle, parenthood, dine out, outdoor retreat, laundry day, and tiny living, Tiny Living crashed origin though) the problem is that files that were there when I had it on my old computer are gone. This is what it looks like, from the top of my head mods, screenshots and screen capture are gone and even if I download my own mod folder (and put mods allowed) they don't work. I have no way to get my screenshots and nothing is helping, the files are gone no matter what. I've uninstalled and reinstalled, moved game, play base game, repair game, but nothing is working. here's sims 4 in my d drive.

  • @TypicalVeganYT  There are two Sims 4 folders on your computer.  One contains the game's program files, as in, the game itself, everything Origin installs.  That's what you see in your screenshot, and it's located on D where you wanted it.

The other set of files is the user data folder: the Sims 4 folder in Documents\Electronic Arts.  This is where your saves, saved housholds and builds, screenshots, etc. are stored, and it's also where you add your mods.  This folder will always be in Documents\Electronic Arts, and if you move the Sims 4 folder elsewhere, the game won't be able to find it and will create a new one instead.

If you really want the Sims 4 folder in Documents to be on D as well, there are ways to move it, but it's more complicated than just dragging and dropping.  Let me know if you'd like it on D, and if so, whether you want all of Documents on D as well, or just the Sims 4 content.
