Solved

I get an error every time I try to save it to my library.

I get an error every time I try to save a plot to my library. but it wants to save a household but not grounds. I really need help to solve this problem.

  • @Mamazo  Try in a clean user folder, as in, move the entire Sims 4 folder to the desktop.  Doing so will remove, but not delete, your saves and other user content.  Let me know if you get an error when trying to move the folder, or it duplicates instead of moving.

If that doesn't help, and OneDrive is active on this computer (whether you deliberately use it or not), try pausing syncing.  Right-click the cloud icon in the lower-right corner of the screen to see the option.

If that doesn't help either, what antivirus do you use?  It could be blocking the game from saving to the Tray folder, although it would be odd for that to be the only problem you were seeing.

  • @Mamazo  If you can't save the lot as a whole, can you save individual rooms?  Please try it and see whether the problem is a single room, or perhaps the outside.  For the landscaping, you can put a fence around various sections to create a room and try to save each one separately.  That should narrow things down.

Thanks for the reply. But I have tried saving empty spaces but it says there is an error. I have no idea what could be causing it?

  • @Mamazo  Can you save an almost blank lot?  Just start a new save, find a blank lot somewhere, build a box, and try to save it.

If that doesn't work, move the Tray folder, inside Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4, to the desktop, and try again.  This will remove, but not delete, everything you've already saved to your Library.  The idea here is to see whether a clean Tray folder fixes the problem.

If that doesn't work either, please let me know whether your computer runs Windows or macOS.

    Hi.

I've moved the Sims 4 folder to the desktop without problems.

I started the game again and did a save with one room. No error and the game was saved.

Shall I move the Sims 4 folder back again?

    Hi.

When I start the game it duplicate all and I can save again 🙂 All my packs is working.

My families has not been duplicated but that's ok.

    Tysm for the help.

  • @Mamazo  Your saves should still be intact in the saves folder inside the old Sims 4 folder.  Go ahead and move them to the new folder if you like.
