I have duplicates of the files in my Sims 4 folder - are they safe to delete?

I think it might have happened when I was transferring all of my files from my old laptop to my new one a few months ago. My game is running normally and it's only the files outside folders that have been duplicated.

If you have a copy of the saves or Tray folder, I would suggest putting it aside, for now at least, in case you discover you're missing some content you expected to have preserved.  Or if you want to figure out now whether you need to keep any of the files inside, let me know and I can show you how to be at least reasonably sure whether or not any of the files are unique.

Thank you, none of the folders had copies but everything outside them did. I've removed the copies and everything is working fine.
