Try going to The Sims 4 in your Origin Games folder and naming it The Sims 41 or something (just something different). When Origin prompts you to re-download it, start the download, stop it at 1% and log out of Origin. Go back to your Origin Games folder and rename The Sims 41 back to The Sims 4. Log back into Origin, cancel the download, and click "Install." It should re-verify your game files and then be available to play again.
A simpler option may be to clear your Origin cache. You can do that by enabling hidden folders in youer Control Panel, and going to your C drive, opening ProgramData, and deleting the Origin folder entirely. If you're running Windows 8, the Origin folder will be inside the AppData folder.
