Infinite Loading Screen After Latest Update

Hello,

After installing the most recent update for The Sims 4, I have been experiencing an issue that makes the game completely unplayable. When I try to load on existing and new save and the game gets stuck on an infinite loading screen and never progresses.

I want to clarify that I have already tested this without any mods or custom content, so the issue seems to be directly related to the update itself. I have also repaired the game from the Ea app.

Is anyone else experiencing the same problem, or is there any known solution from the development team?

Thank you in advance for your help.

  • I finally managed to fix it! 🎉 I repaired the game, removed all mods, reset The Sims 4 folder (like a fresh install), restored the saves in-game, and even moved the families. If you want, I made a full tutorial on my YouTube channel!" https://youtu.be/ix_E-NXcfSw

I’m experiencing the same thing but slightly different. When I click on my household to start playing it will go to the loading screen and then right back to the worlds screen. I’m not sure what to do 😭

This is happening to me also. I cannot play my game. The loading screen turns back to the world´s map. Before the update everything worked ok. After the update I cannot select and play my sims family. I´m really mad right now.

I was able to get mine to work after taking out my mods. Currently going through and trying to figure out which one it is. :(

I started my game over thirty times today, removed my entire sims folder to start. fresh start. no saves no mods. the game functioned sadly. the game worked fine with all my mods reinstalled and my saves folder put back into play. It gives me the issue when I enable script mods. pretty sure it's my fairies vs witches mod, ( i have like four script mods, and two of them are hair) which is so sad, cuz the maker has released update after update recently. it almost seems EA is doing this on purpose to get rid of the mod entirely.   Though through my years of going through EA and Origins BS ... i had some of the most bizarre error codes and crashing, more than once it logged me out of my EA acct and refused to connect to servers, At one point it even told me i had no application installed.. then loaded the game with no further interactions from me than a double click... I wish i could just play offline.. no more updates im happy with the game as is, and very sick of them ruining it.

  • Same here, but I have already repaired the app. But I am doing a 50/50 to see which mod is causing the infinite loading screen issue on my end. It could end up like yours. But the slight difference is that I had to repair the game because that didn't recognize that I already bought 4 packs.
