Invisible Sims and neighborhood gone

Since the 12/20 update to fix Lin-Z speaker, half of my neighborhoods are gone and sims are invisible! I tried starting a completely new save and removed the only 2 mods I have and still, Willow Creekbis gone, Newcrest is gone and San Myshuno is gone! Cas sims are completely invisible and remain invisible in the game. Anyone else have this issue with the 12/20 update? I am at a loss as far as what to do @crinrict

****EDIT*** I did a game repair (didn’t think of doing that originally because I was in a panic) and it fixed the issue. Incase anyone else had this problem, try a repair. Maybe it didn’t fully update? Not sure. Anyway @crinrict if you’re reading this, you have helped me with many issues in the past. You are a true asset to the Sims Community! Just wanted to say Thank You!

  • Hi @BRI_O_1977

moved your post to the tech forum as it doesnt' seem to have anything to do with error 120

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

    • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
    • Tray Folder
    • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
    • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
    • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
    • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.
