Is my HP envy laptop good enough for The Sims 4

I can run the sims 3 on my hp laptop but it over heats and crashes after 30 minutes... not entirely crashed. but the game force closes.

I was wondering if my laptop specs could run the sims 4 since i heard it is less quality in graphics?..

    Hello,

Based on the specifications, I would say that your laptop would support The Sims 4, and I would expect it to run at medium graphical settings. However, with the information that The Sims 3 crashes due to overheating after 30 minutes, I am slightly worried that your laptop may have some overheating damage because of this.

Have you invested in a laptop cooling pad?

I hope this helps and keep simming,

Also note my graphics card is interated.  My laptop does not have over heating issues when I play League of Legends which I can play at high quality without it getting too hot. but warm and it doesnt force close like the Sims 3. I really dont want to spend $70 if I cant even play the sims 4

    Hello,

It seemed that The Sims 3 caused a lot of overheating issues for a number of laptop uses, and there were cases where this overheating had caused damage to the integrated graphics. However, if you are able to play League of Legends, I think there's perhaps not any damage in your case.

In answer to your original question, I think your laptop would be able to play The Sims 4, but investing in a cooling pad may still be a good idea. Would you like me to help you work out why The Sims 3 is crashing for you? (it could be down to just one piece of dodgy CC)

I hope this helps and keep simming,

    Hello,

Could you post a DxDiag report please? Instructions on how to do so can be found here:

    http://help.ea.com/en/article/how-to-gather-dxdiag-information/

If you are having trouble pasting the full report here, try splitting it into multiple messages, or use pastebin.com. I just need to check whether your system is at risk of overheating, and then we can diagnose whether its down to dodgy custom content, or another reason.

I hope this helps and keep simming,
