Is this coming from Sims4?

I recently purchased a new laptop and one of the first things I did was setup my Steam games, including Sims4. At some point shortly after that I got a notification from MS OneDrive about deleting hundreds of jpg files. Up until this point I have not deleted anything but the # of files continues to grow with each new notification and the last notification showed 1172 files to be deleted. I've not played any other games on this new laptop so far besides Sims4. I never had this occur on my other laptop but can't attribute it to any other programs. An example of one of the files, in case it helps, is 3c2a8647-00000002-0001d72a.jpg That means nothing to me in terms of identifying what the file is related too.

Has anyone else experienced this with Sims4 and, if so, did you delete the files?

Files you wouldn't want to delete are saves (start with Slot_), Tray files, and possibly mods and custom content.

One workaround here is to pause OneDrive syncing as you're playing.  You could resume afterwards and let it sync anything the game doesn't delete but keep it away from the temp files.

If you want to change your OneDrive configuration in some way, please see the first post of this thread:

I have been having the same thing happening for about a week now. IDK why it started showing up all of a sudden? My computer is newish (couple months old), but I've been playing The Sims 4 since day one of having it. And these notifications keep popping up and never had this happen before on other computers

Thanks for the reply. One thing I didn't think to try before making my OP was to run a search for one of the files. I did that for both the laptop as well as my OneDrive and found nothing was found.

Carizzard  You might only see the message now because OneDrive is full enough to need to delete some data.  You can check your free and total cloud storage by right-clicking the cloud icon in the lower-right corner of the screen and selecting Settings > Account.

I ultimately deleted the files and have not noticed any issues since then.
