Issue with save files

I was playing a saved game on and off for a couple of days, but now when I load up the Sims, it's not there. I had a look at my files, and the saved games are there, but they're not showing up when I load the game. Does anyone know how to fix this??

  • CoolestSkunk98  Please post a screenshot of the contents of your saves folder, as in, I'd like to see the names and dates of the files.  Click the save that's not loading to highlight it before taking the screenshot.  Please also include the address bar, above the list of files, in the screenshot.

  • CoolestSkunk98  There are two problems here. One is that this folder is not the one the game is reading, and therefore not where your saves should go.  Here's how to find that folder:

The other problem is the space and 2 at the end of the file name.  Please delete these, so the file name looks like this:

    Slot_00000007

I would also suggest setting File Explorer to show file extensions, which makes things easier in general.  In that case, the save file would show as Slot_00000007.save , with the .save part being hidden (but still there) when file extensions are set not to display.
