I keep a backup of my households, lots and rooms by copying the tray files corresponding with each one into its own folder elsewhere on my hard drive/online.Today I copied a lot into the "Sims 4 > tray" folder and it didn't appear in my library in-game as it always has in the past. I thought perhaps it was just an issue with this one, so I tried others and they didn't work either.I attempted the same with various households only to encounter the same problem.Strangely however, when I tried with a room, it loaded just fine, only adding to my confusion.I removed all of my mods and tried again, but still had the same issue. I uninstalled and reinstalled the entire game, but still the problem persists.Then, even more strangely, when I just checked my library a moment ago one of the households I'd copied the tray files for earlier is showing, despite not currently being in my tray files.As a note: I haven't played in a while, and there have been at least a couple of patches since then. Not sure if it's related to those.

@bluesherbertsims and you sure you copied all the needed files ?Could you post a screenshot of your tray folder (including path but edit out any personal info)

@bluesherbertsims I tested the files. The Lot shows up for me, the household doesn't.. I also tried with the tray importer and that seems to be able to read the file just fine. I'm not that familiar with the tool though.Do you have any households that do show up for you ?

@bluesherbertsims This sound like the game switch to using another folder. Are you using oneDrive ?

@crinrict I am using OneDrive, but there isn't a Sims 4 folder in my drive (I assume because my documents on my PC aren't synced to the drive to upload automatically).

I also tried saving a lot to my gallery and checking where the tray files appeared, and they did appear in the same folder I'd dragged my lots/households to before, meaning that does appear to be the correct place.
Oddly enough dragging the tray files for rooms works and they load in my gallery, just not households/lots.

I would've thought so, given they're the same ones I've copied before and had no problem with, but it's possible I've missed something, so I'll take a screenshot.
Here's screenshot of the folder with a household with one sim (left), and one with a lot (right), I've copied from my backups, but neither appear in my library. I haven't changed anything about either since the last time I copied them over and they worked.

@crinrict Oh that's odd, I made sure to check the options so it was public, I must've missed something. I'll move them to a folder and change some options around to see if that works better. Apologies for the delay!

@crinrict This whole thing has been so bizarre. Though I have some good, if confusing news.
When I tried going through them the other day I made sure to check each one individually, but I thought I may have missed one, so went about trying again just now to be sure...and one by one all the households shows up again. So I tried the lots and they all also showed up.
I truly have no idea what happened. I made sure to double and triple check, make sure I was using the right folder, check all the different options on and off in the gallery in case something was misplaced or I'd missed a detail, and even as I said in my first post un- and re-install the game, just to make sure I'd been extremely thorough before posting here in case I'd missed something obvious. So while I'm definitely glad things are working, I have absolutely zero clue what changed.
I'm so sorry, I can't apologise enough for what ended up to be a waste of your time. I greatly appreciate all the help you've given me though, thank you so much!
