Lagging, Freezing, Walking Through Walls
Ever since the most recent BG update, the game has been basically unplayable. The game freezes every 30 seconds and has TONS of lag. Not as problematic but also weird, is that my sims are just walking through objects and walls like they aren't there.
It once completely crashed my computer too. The screen went black and no buttons worked, I had to fully manually turn off my PC.
Important notes and things I've tried:
-Specs: Windows 11, AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 32GB Ram, ASRock B650 Steel Legend Motherboard, 4087MB NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER 512MB ATI AMD Radeon Graphics, 1.86 TB Storage with 676 GB Free
-I use the EA app
-I removed all mods and put them on the desktop before updating
-I have all EPs including Lovestruck & GPs, all but one SP and lots of kits.
-I have tried repairing the game, uninstalling and reinstalling, repairing again, having only a couple saves in the saves folder, removed all the saves to desktop to load it fully fresh
-Tried to install the MCCC mod to see if it could give me any additional information as to why the game is glitching so much, but it didn't even recognize I had any mods (and yes, I enabled script mods in the options first and the resource.cfg was in there)
-I have installed every update up to today 7/28/2024
Anyone have any other suggestions?? I got a super PC just to be able to play the sims better and it's super frustrating one little update has seemingly broken it to be unplayable.
