@cuddlyduckie546 Does your computer run Windows or macOS? Does this happen in all saves or just the one? If you use mods or custom content, does it help to remove all of it? This is just for testing; no need to save your progress.
It runs on windows and I am not sure if it's a mod but possibly is, I had an issue before with crashing but I fixed it. It is only in one save since I don't have any others.
@cuddlyduckie546 Please test with no mods, and in a new save in one of the base game worlds with no mods, just for comparison's sake.
Please also run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.

@cuddlyduckie546 Okay, let's keep it simple. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, if it launches, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.
If you still run into lag, follow the instructions I posted earlier to run a dxdiag. Then attach it to a reply in this thread. Use Reply (not Quick Reply) and click the Browse button below the text field where you write the reply.
