@cuddlyduckie546 Yes, please copy (right-click and Copy, then right-click and Paste; don't just drag and drop) your save to the new Sims 4 folder. But don't add anything else yet, and don't change any in-game settings. If the save lags, try moving the household to a different lot in one of the base game worlds and let me know whether it helps. Since you're using a copy of your save and not the original, you don't need to worry about messing up your progress.
If the save still runs smoothly in the new Sims 4 folder, you can start adding your mods and other content, and changing your graphics settings if you want. Add a little at a time and keep testing so you know right away if you've reintroduced the problem.
@puzzlezaddict No mods correct or take each one out indivudually?
@cuddlyduckie546 Please use the clean Sims 4 folder that I described in my previous post. This folder will have no user content: no saves, no mods, nothing else. The whole point is to test without adding anything to this folder and see what happens.
