@Queen8rim Can you duplicate this in another house too or is it limited to your current one ?
There's several issues with food but that sounds a bit different as the others mostly concern autonomy.
No. I do not have the issue on any other sim load. It doesn’t happen with my previous save (before I downloaded the Get To Work expansion). And it doesn’t happen with a sim after that, but then again, I didn’t use all of the same items. (ie: same leftovers, same fridge, same counters, same career)

@Queen8rim Maybe they can't get to the food ? Did the other Sim you didn't have issues with live in the same house ?

Well, I haven’t gotten that far because as soon as I made a new game (because of the new expansion I got) my sim just refused to eat any left overs. It sometimes happens with freshly cooked food as well. They go up and take a plate, walk around the house and set the plate down on a counter and just refuse to eat it. Yet when I make the sim clean up the food, they walk right up to the plate, pick it up and clean the dish. She’s a chef and makes excellent dishes, so I know they are edible.
when I said it doesn’t happen with any other save or newer games, there was a slight mishap, but eventually he went to eat. The sim grabbed the plate out of the fridge and set it down on the table and tried to walk away. Even though no other activities were set. I gave him the task to eat again and he sat down to eat. So I’m not sure if this is going to pop up again after I have to clean the fridge of spoiled food.
but on the older save, I have like 7 people and they can all eat leftovers or fresh food just fine.
ive tried to put it in the sims inventory and eating the food from there, putting it back in the fridge and grabbing more leftovers.

@Queen8rimSometimes, in the game, Sims can sorta use counters, but if the counters are on "dead zones" they can't fully utilize them.
So, sometimes in "dead zones" if you make them sit first, they can eat, but it's a pain because otherwise they won't.
You can clear the furniture and counters out of your kitchen/dining room where you want your Sims to eat, and make sure they can walk on every single grid/tile. If they cannot walk on one, any counter/island placed there won't be fully functional for Sims.
