It would still be important to know if it's a cc or game issue.

Laundry pack is coming soon 😉
Crinrict: Explain this laundry pack that is "coming soon" pls. Is there a link I can read about this? And will they be functioning washers and dryers? 1st thing you do when setting up a household is making sure you have food and prep area, water, power, place to sleep, bathroom and a place to wash your clothes. Laundry items should have been included in the initial game

Laundry items should have been included in the intial game IMNSHO (in my not so humble opinion) ! :D

I ran the batch fixer on everything in Studio.....seems that particular washer and dryer is the only one with the problem now....the other items that were transparent are solid now...exept for that cc I posted in my 1st pic (washer and dryer). ☹️ was the best looking washer and dryer set out there...saddened.

I was able to hide the unwanted lines in the washer and dryer by using the "bb.moveobjects" and inserting a solid cube object inside the transparent washers/dryers (had to raise the items one notch using lft shift +9). This screenshot is the result. The laundry facility is for decoration only and has no functionality...so this will work as far as eye candy is concerned. I still think this model I am using of the washers and dryers is superior to anything else out there. Glad I found a quasi-work around. Thanks for all your help on this folks.

The lighting problem expands beyond the washer and dryer set. I am noticing it in other items too. Look at the screen shots of the automobiles...those dark lines are not supposed to be there (these vehicles are transparent/translucent). If the lighting settings in the options menu are set above the low setting, it messes up the visuals on several build items (making them translucent with those ugly lines).

Hi @Nuke615,
Are you having this textures issue with non custom content objects? From the screenshots you have shared, this seems like an issue with custom content that needs to be updated to be compatible with the new version of the game. You can learn more about this here: https://help.ea.com/en-us/help/the-sims/the-sims-4/mods-and-the-sims-4-game-updates/
If custom content or mods get outdated after a game patch, they need to be updated to be compatible with the new game version.

I am still checking items. I have a lot of CC...so hard to weed out what belongs to just the game itself. I'll have to remove the mod folder and check the base game items later. But I did look for updates to the cc and found some that work just fine......I now have a Ferrari LOL. I got 6 different civilian vehicles that work...plus some service vehicles as well. I will survive. 😉 Hopefully some of these things will be updated by the creators relatively soon.

the CC did not need updating...is was a SSAO issue
- Nuke6158 years agoNew Ace
Found a fix for all the lighting troubles I have had since the cats and dogs patch. I simply turned off the SSAO by setting its value to false under the setting I use (medium). Every lighting issue I was having is gone, and the corners of each room are clean and crisp. All the CC I had also displays properly now without those ugly shadows/lines. The disabling of the SSAO eliminates the problem I was having, and still allows for the sun to cast shadows. Setting the lighting to low fixed the shadow/line issue, but did not allow the sun to cast any shadows.
