Looking to upgrade my old laptop for sims 4

I have had my old computer for 5 years and it’s starting to lose its speed. I want a laptop that can run all dlc’s, custom content, and be used for general everyday things. I have found some HP laptops but am wondering if they are strong enough to handle my game well. In the past I had an HP ENVY with 8gb ram and AMD Ryzen 5 which worked really great. I have linked some options below. Any advice helps!!

  • @LIVELOVESIMS20  All of these laptops except the third should be able to run all Sims 4 content on at least medium-high graphics settings.  The fourth has a faster graphics chip than the first two, but the gap is not so large that it should eliminate the first two if you like them better for other reasons.  There's not nearly enough data on the graphics chip in the third laptop for me to say for sure, but I suspect it would be a bit slower than the chip in the first two, so I'd avoid it if you have other options.

The third and fourth options also have a brighter screen than the first two, which is nice to have if not absolutely required.

The limiting factor with all of these laptops would be the graphics chip, at least when it comes to running Sims 4.  Having 16 GB RAM is great but doesn't help beyond a certain point, and the processors are all more than powerful enough to outpace the graphics.

Do you specifically want an HP laptop, and/or not a gaming laptop?  What's your preferred budget?  I can look for other options for you if you'd like.  I'm not saying these are bad choices, only that depending on your preferences, there might be something more suitable out there.  However, on the HP site at least, these are the most powerful laptops I'm seeing for under $700, so if this is where you're doing your shopping, you've already found the best options.
