frosnese2 Some people probably do have the issue and don't care. Others may not due to their settings. Please try my previous suggestions on your new laptop just to confirm that they don't help there either. I know it would be a little odd for them to fix the problem on one system and not the other, but it's happened before.
I personally haven't noticed jagged shadows in Sims 4, but then I'm used to Sims 3, where shadows are sometimes horrible, and I've learned to ignore it.
