Managed to fix my problem where it crashes during launch after update

So I tried everything possible and that was recommended to do. But what worked for me, is to go to settings on your pc and then to display-graphic. From there you should scroll down till you see The ...

neckmakeup  If you click Browse, do you see TS4_x64 or TS4_Launcher_x64?  They'd be in [install location]\Game\Bin, here by default:

C:\Program Files\EA Games\The Sims 4\Game\Bin
or
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Game\Bin

This is another workaround you can try instead:

Or you can put your laptop in night mode before trying to play.
