memory boost option gone since months

hello, the memory boost option is gone from my settings since months, it used to work fine and one day it just disappeared

i clean reinstalled my windows a couple of times including 3 weeks ago, so i doubt than any game files are corrupted because i had to reinstall every program and game anyways, for this reason i also rule out a mod issue

dx11 is activated, it always activates by default, i never manually clicked the dx9 switch

    Hi VCWhittman

    try the following:

open the Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 4 > options(.ini) with any text editor

Check if you have this line:

    featurepreviewbuild =

If you don't, manually add it like this: featurepreviewbuild = 0

save the file and you should have the option back. I don't know why the line gets removed when you create a fresh folder. Did it for me to but adding that line made it show up again. You can then change it to your liking in the game.

It should be coming as standard for everyone with the next patch though

no i dont run any commands, and i have sims via steam, i reinstalled everything on my pc, i never had gshade or reshade installed on this fresh windows installation, i used malwarebytes before, then switched to bitdefender, idk if they could cause that

i only read that memory boost will be available for mac, maybe i overread

Are you running any custom commands in the ea app? Could also be related to gshade or antivirus software. Note. memory boost will be permanently enabled for the upcoming July 21 patch.
