Community ManagerIt's strange I am also having exactly the same issue as amanda-amethyst, I was playing with memory boost but I had to reinstall Windows and after downloading the game again the memory boost option completely dissapeared for me. On some of my old saves from before the new install it still shows (memory boost) so I definitely had it enabled. Attached my dxdiag in case that is useful. Also I am on DX11 and have been since it was introduced.
Memory Boost is a flawed technology that causes slow performance Windows Layer technology and evidence show that automatic HDR10 doesn't work the GPU doesn't function and Smooth Motion technology doesn't work
After disabling the save file technology the Sims will become motionless
