missing assets in brindleton bay

i’m having an issue with missing assets, specifically in brindleton bay. everything is missing, the plaques, trees, and background objects are missing from the world. mainly in the sable square neighborhood where the two home lots are. 

i thought it may have been my mods, so i took everything out and repaired my game, but the problem still remained. 

after that i deleted the for rent ep. created a brand-new save file. uninstalled the sims 4 and the ea app multiple times and nothing has fixed the problem. the assets are still missing. 

has anyone else run into this problem, or does anyone have suggestions on how to fix it?

  • yaanaplays  Please try another new save, this time in an entirely clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and have a look around.

    If this doesn't help, try deleting and reinstalling Cats & Dogs.  If you don't know where the game itself is installed, you can see the location in the EA App, under Sims 4 > Manage > View properties.

    Close the EA App and kill the EABackgroundService in the Task Manager.  Open [install location]\The Sims 4 and delete the EP04 folder inside.  Then open the Delta folder and delete the EP04 folder inside that.  Clear the EA App's cache:

    Repair the game (Sims 4 > Manage > Repair), and reinstall C&D.  Then load yet another new save and see whether the items show up.

    I would suggest that you reinstall the game (and the EA App) while in a new admin Windows account, to be thorough.  You can create one for just this purpose.  Make it local, as in, don't link it to your Microsoft account or any email address.
