Missing Features after an accidental delete

Hello, my boyfriend and I share a PC. We were low on storage, and he deleted some files to make room on the PC. Afterward, I noticed all my builds were gone from Sims. Not a big deal, it was an accident, and the files are now gone from the computer. I decided to look at it as a fresh start. 

However, I made a new Sim and began to play a new build with them. I immediately noticed that my Sims phone was missing icons/apps, that I use to have before. Also, I cannot click on the doors to lock them, like I use to, or even click on the lights to turn them to auto or turn them off.  These are the only issues with Gameplay that I have come across so far, there could be more options missing. 

I tried to repair the game, thinking maybe a Gameplay file was messed up after the accidental deletion of my Sims files. That didn't work. I then Uninstalled the game and reinstalled it, hoping that would bring all the Gameplay files back to their normal use. Still didn't work to fix the issue. 

I don't care at all that my builds are gone, but I don't like playing with missing features. Can anyone advise me on how to fix the issues with the doors and lights. Also, how can I restore the apps that I used to have on my Sims phone? (Picture below shows the phone, it only has these options, I used to have all the apps...) 

P.S. I do not have Mods downloaded, nor have I ever had Mods downloaded. So that would be out of the equation with this issue.
