[MOD RELATED] Can’t Select Place/Time for events

Hello! This my first time posting here after 12 years of playing, crazy right?!

So I just updated my game with the new update yesterday but I am having trouble planning events. Once I get to the end of planning, it’s a blank screen for place and time and there’s no check mark to complete it either.

- I can pick a day, host, and invitees

- I use event mods/never had this issue before

- I’ve updated all possible custom events and all mods (would prefer not to part with outdated ones but if I have to I will)

- have deleted local thumb cache

- only 3 EA events actually work

I appreciate the help!

@Aly1233 DId you test without the mods as well ? Does sound like one of them is outdated with the patch. Let the creator know it doesn't work and hope that they update it.

Playing your game with outdated ones can harm your save game.

You’re very welcome! I haven’t played since this new patch but those mods have been working beautifully if not better than they did when they were first released by bps

@anl2929 This worked omg thank you so much! I’ve had this issue for so long and I didn’t realize I had this mod because it never came up when I searched for event mods!

@Lorie676 This was mod-related for the people who originally had the issue. So please test with your Mods folder moved to the desktop; delete localthumbcache.package as well.

If you still have the issue with no mods, please test in a new save, just for comparison, and let us know what happens.

Yes, thank you! Since my initial problem, it’s been fixed but new updates always determine when they work. however, I haven’t had the issue since and I unfortunately don’t know how to help anyone else besides suggest when you have.

Ik its been awhile since this topic came up but I'm wondering what the fix for the BPS events is. Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone,
This happened with me, only it wouldnt let me select an host, it came up with no sims at all.
I maxed out the friendship using the mc centre cheat with the person who had died with my sim family, however, when I went to plan the event the memorial service option wasnt available.
So I disabled all cheats using the bar Shift-Ctrl-C and wrote testingcheats off.
It worked. I can now plan the memorial service.
