Mods not working after update

I haven't played the Sims in like maybe 2 months, so I had to update my game. My mods worked perfectly before and I expected that I would have to redownload the big mods like MCCC and SNB, but after trying everything from taking all mods out and trying only one, to making a new mods folder, to deleting the cache file - nothing has worked. I have done all of the routine things like making sure cc and script mods are allowed but when I check what mods the game is registering, it isnt showing anything. I am at a loss for what to do so any recommendations or help would be greatly appreciated.
