The only thing that comes to mind is to reset the game - reset game and then try one mod you know will work. If that works then you need to check all mods to see if they are up to date. The 3/26 patch broke some mods.
I made the backup file, then deleted the original as said. But when I opened the game everything was the same? My saved games are still there and the game didn't reset.. It also didn't create a new file. 🤔

Sounds like your user folder might be in a different place.
Are you using onedrive ? If so, can you check there ?

Yes I do have onedrive. There is an EA folder in there, does that mean the game is working with the file in onedrive instead of the one in my regular documents?

Could be.
Put your mods/cc in that folder and see if they show up.
- 7 years agoI have the same problem, and I have onedrive but I have no idea what to do. :/

Please read the Accepted answer.
- 7 years agoI have the same problem, my CC isn't showing up in game. I've found out I have 2 Electronic Arts folders (one of which is a subfolder) but I'm scared to delete one of them, and I have another Mods folder that is inside Electronic Arts and all of my CC that I put in the first folder is in that folder. I don't know what to do, please help! This has been happening for 2-3 months.

Move the whole thing to the desktop (move the top one), then start the game to let it create a new one.
After that, just move the mods from your backup over to the newely generated folder.
You need to put script mods on the top level (one subfolder allowed so you can either make one folder called scriptmods and put all script mods in there or create one folder per mod.
Do try to organize the rest by say site you download and creator or whatever suits you best.
