my game doesn't work

My Sims 4 game with start, show the Sims 4 logo with the plumbob and then shuts off.  No error code.  No failed to launch notice. Just closes.  I have removed all mods from my computer.  I have repaired the game once and uninstalled and reinstalled twice.  Still the same.  Again I have NO mods on my computer.  This is only Sims 4 files I am trying to launch.  Of course I tried to reach EA to submit a technical support ticket but I can't do that either.  Please if you know the fix or if you know how to submit the technical support ticket I would appreciate it if you told me.  Thanks

  • livinlarge4473  If you haven't already, please try playing in a clean user folder.  Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop.  When you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content.  (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you've moved but temporarily unread by the game.)  Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just start a new save and see how it runs, that is if you can get that far.

If you get another crash, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

  • I think they are having issues with their help site, I have also been unable to open a new help case today. I tried to resume a different one i have open and my "estimated wait time is 11 minutes" and is currently going on an hour waiting for a response. That was the only way I could get the help chat to work.
