PuddleOfBats The game won't use the Downloads folder, but if you mean Documents, then yes, you can switch it back. Sims 4 uses whatever Windows specifies the Documents directory, and you can change that value. Please see the "I want to get rid of OneDrive" section of this guide:

Since your files are intact, you don't need to copy them elsewhere, unless you want to create a backup for other reasons of course. Just follow the instructions to disable OneDrive syncing of Documents, and if that alone doesn't help, change the registry value as described in the link to the Microsoft article.
The point is, you tell Windows what the Documents directory should be, and Sims 4 uses that too.

I'm trying to use the guide but the steps it says doesnt work. I already have onedrive disabled for my documents folder and the command prompt Isn't working
