@bmpuntney That definitely sounds like a mods issue. Please move your entire Mods folder to the desktop, delete localthumbcache.package, and test. You don't need to save your progress, so don't worry about missing content in your existing saves.
If the game works as normal again, you can start adding back your mods and custom content. But rather than using your old mods, please look for updated versions. Several patches in the last year have had a significant effect on mods, and it's unlikely that any given mod from October would work now. So rather than testing them all and ditching most, it will be easier to just find new versions confirmed compatible with the current patch (1.79).
