My sims 4 game is running slow without any mods.
(This issue was before the update that happened October 3, 2024)
I’ve been having this weird issue lately, where my sims 4 game (WITHOUT) mods loads real slow. It’ll take a loooong time to get past the loading screen. When i also go to click something it double clicks (Like I’ll hear the clicking twice), and the music also stutters/skips. I’ve tried everything from resetting, repairing, and uninstalling then reinstalling the sims. But nothing seems to work. This is the first time something like this has happened.
My DxDiag text of my laptop is below.
SimBliss Is there a reason you're running an old build of Windows? 18363 was released in late 2019 and lost support in May 2021. Unless you have a specific reason not to update, that's the first step here. If you can't run an update the normal way, a repair install will take care of it for you. Here's how:

Once you've updated the OS, please update the graphics driver. Your current version is from 2017, and AMD offers a driver from 2022 that should work much better. You can find it here:
Run the installer as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator." Restart your computer after installing and before trying to play.
