My Sims 4 Game Won’t Load

Hello! My Sims 4 game for about a month has not been loading and am wondering if anyone has solution. Here is a list of things l've done

  • Completely removing mods and cc and then loading the game.
  • Clearing EA cache / Repairing Sims I tried this because when I try and load the game, it won't load, I go back to EA launcher and it says it needs an update, but it is all updated.
  • Uninstalling ALL my base game and packs. After I did this it loaded up once, but never loaded again.

I've tried all these and nothing has worked. I'm not sure if it matters but when I download INZIO it said I need to update my graphics card (I think that's what it is) which is a GeForce. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it. I've been searching and I wouldn't be posting if I've already tried everything.

  • YOONIHUN  If you use a third-party antivirus, please set exceptions in it for TS4_x64, TS4_DX9_x64, and TS4_Launcher_x64; or the entire Bin folder they're in.  Set an exception for EADesktop.exe as well.  Then repair the game again.

If that doesn't help, please provide a dxdiag.  Hit Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the camera (Insert Media) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

  • Toomanysimmers  Your dxdiag shows that the XBox Gaming Overlay is crashing, so please disable Game Mode and Game Bar, both under Windows Settings > Gaming.

The EA App is crashing too, so please uninstall it with Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine), using the Intensive scanning method.  Restart before reinstalling the App.

It looks like Sims 4 is crashing because it's running out of memory.  Your dxdiag shows this:

    Memory: 16384MB RAM
          Available OS Memory: 3014MB RAM
Page File: 10581MB used, 1649MB available

Which is extremely odd: you're running 64-bit Windows and have 16 GB RAM installed, yet only 3 GB is available.  The "available" number can be a bit smaller than the total for different reasons, but it should never be anywhere near this much smaller.  So I'm wondering whether this is a reporting error rather than some kind of serious problem.

Please restart your computer, don't open anything for five minutes, then open the Task Manager alone.  Wait about 30 seconds, then post a screenshot of the overview, including the Memory header.  Close the Task Manager, run another dxdiag, and post what you see for Memory, Available OS Memory, and Page File, as above.  You don't need to post the entire dxdiag.

Finally, please let me know what motherboard you have, what RAM modules you have (by part number), and which slots they're installed in.  You can check both by opening the case; the motherboard model should be printed on the board itself, and the RAM part numbers are on the modules, which are in the upper-right corner of the board.

  • Well I managed to fix it, even though nothing has changed from day 1.  After doing many things to help it appeared to be a problem with my memory allocation. It was defaulted to only use a very small amount of memory. So after fixing and restarting again and getting rid of the Xbox hassle my sims is running again!!! Many thank you's

I followed this for the memory.

And this for other clean up and I utilized help from https://www.itpro.com/

  • Forgot to mention, when repairing the game and moving the folder. I forgot to keep my saves and have therefor LOST my sim doing the Grim challenge!!
