I haven't been able to open my Sims 4 game recently! When I try to open the program it opens origin instead and when I click play in origin it doesn't start up at all. When I re-install origin and Sims 4, it opens but after I close the program it doesn't open until I re-download it and the cycle continues. I've tried updating all my drivers and obviously re-dowloading Sims and origin but nothing is working. Any help?

1. If you have any mods move the mods folder to the desktop.
Delete localthumbcache.package file in the game folder - important! - and fix the game in Origin.
Origin/Library -right click on TS4 - option "Repair game"
You have to wait until Origin will fix all packs, not only the base game.
Turn on the game to create a new, empty mods folder.
Check if a game is working now without mods. Then copy from desktop your mods and CC and paste it in the new mods folder. First, paste script mods every time checking if the game is OK. Do the same with CC but if you have a lot of this, try the 50/50 method ( divide your CC into smaller batches for example 50 pieces in one subfolder and check these subfolders one by one) You need to find a culprit and either remove it or replace it with an updated version
2. If you don't have CC or mods delete this file and fix the game also. The game will create the same new file but without saved errors.
3. If it will not work tray launch a game in windowed mode

Have you been saving the game properly each time you exit? Do you have any mods? I would try deleting any mods you may have one by one. Check to see if the game works after each deletion. Though, this might be tedious if you have a lot.
