@Finesseundo Do you use mods or custom content, and if so, does it help to remove them? Please test if you haven't already—move the Mods folder to the desktop and delete localthumbcache.package—and let me know. You don't need to save your progress; this is just for testing purposes.
- Finesseundo2 years agoNew Rookie@puzzlezaddict I already tried deleting my mods before but it still did the same thing
@Finesseundo Please test a new save and let me know if it happens there too. If the new save is fine, try loading a different household within the same save.
If the new save is similarly affected, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 4 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you launch the game, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.
If that doesn't help either, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
