My sims are rapidly skilling

So I installed the game four days ago for the first time on pc, I

have mccc, harder relationships, harder careers, **bleep**, realistic childbirth mod, education overhaul and some custom content for toddlers and adult sims such as skins and toddler toys, and I’ve found that after tinkering with mccc and despite deleting my old settings and reconfiguring, my sims still gain skills way too fast. 

for example I have a toddler sim who is movement level 4 despite me only playing for three sim days, I have testing cheats on and otherwise have no idea what could be causing this, it’s very upsetting as I play with a 587 day lifespan and want to have a slower game pace but everything I do seems to make it worse.
