Hey Guys, (can;t post on sims forum - already posted to reddit) I am looking to get a new desktop, mainly for sims and I am just swamped with what everything means and if its good enough or no...
It a toss up between the two. Both can run the game at med-high, but may have issues with ultra settings and smooth gameplay.
The PC SpecialistFusion Elite has a weaker processor that is low-end and may cause issues. Though it does have a higher-end graphics card.
-- If you want to go with an AMD, try looking for something in the AMD FX 8000 series with 8-16 GB system memory and a GTX 1050ti or better. The more video memory the better for gaming.
The Lenovo Ideacentre AIO 700 has a better processor if you get an i5 or i7, but has a slightly weaker video card even if you choose more memory.
You cannot replace the video card in all-in-one computers. You're stuck with the specs you buy.
-- If you want to go with an Intel chip, look for an i5 or i7 with 8-16 GB System Memory and and a GTX 1050ti or better. Again, the more video memory the better for gaming.
Have you seen any others that look interesting? If you have links to any that you like, please share them.
@LuckyJules13 AIO computer typically use custom power supplies and other parts. These computers are like a laptop for your desk and are usually not upgradable or worth upgrading. The other computer is already old technology and my guess is upgrading it would not increase its value. AMD is now making processors for AM4 motherboards that use DDR4 memory. The AMD 4300 does not list what motherboard is in it and that could make a difference.
