New Dell Inspiron 15 to play The Sims 4

Hello! I need to buy a new notebook, for uni life (IRL, lol) and to play the sims 4.

The notebook i saw is a New Dell Inspiron 15:

-Processor - AMD Ryzen 5 5500U 6 core/12 thread Mobile with Radeon graphic card (should be something like 2.1GHz Max Boost ClockUp to 4.0GHz)

and

-Graphic Card AMD Radeon with shared memory.

-8GB RAM, DDR4

I don't have such huge needs, i already have a pc desktop that runs fine, for gaming. So i'm not looking up for 10000€ notebook gaming set. i just want it to run the sims 4/league of legends decently + basic home use.

I also found:

lenovo thinkbook 14

- processor Intel Core i3-1115G4 ( 3.00GHz 6MB )

-graphic card Intel UHD for processors Intel® 11th gen.

-8GB RAM DDR4

Thank you and sorry for bad english!

  • @Fredefml  The 5500U is still a better option than the 1135G7, although the gap is smaller.  If you like the Intel laptop for other reasons, then the difference in performance isn't worth worrying about.  If the two laptops are otherwise equal in your mind, then that would be a good way to decide.

  • @Fredefml  The first laptop you've described, with the 5500U, is a good choice in the ~500€ range.  Its graphics chip is probably capable of running Sims 4 on high graphics settings, all packs included, although you might need to turn a couple settings down to medium.  It's not a gaming machine but is an excellent option for a non-gaming laptop.  It's also definitely better than anything with an i3, even the newest 1115G4, in terms of both processing and integrated graphics.

Normally, I'd offer to look for other options, and I still can if you want me to; just list your budget and country.  But I doubt you'll find anything better for a similar price unless there happens to be an entry-level gaming laptop on sale.  If you don't want one of those, then a laptop with a 5500U, or perhaps a 5600U if you happen to see one, is the best option.

Thank you very much for responding!

The budget is less than 700€ (i don't know the corresponding currency in your country ><), so i know there are not so many "good" notebook for my purpose - but i don't want to use it as a gaming notebook, like i said i already have a nice desktop pc! So i don't want to spend a lot of money!

For now, after all my researches, those 2 notebook are the only ones that looks decent for what i have to do and the price is ok. I live in Italy, btw!

    Thank you again 🙂

  • I found another notebook, what about this?

    Intel Iris Plus Graphics

    Intel Core i5-1135G7

    8GB

    Thanks in advance!
