New EA App Sims 4 Bundling

Is anyone else having this issue? I downloaded the new EA app for Windows and I can't bundle. Truthfully, I wasn't able to bundle before. Origin told me I'm quite the collector despite me NOT owning every expansion, game, or stuff pack. I digress though. I downloaded the new EA app and there isn't even a bundle option available for the Sims 4. Any advice would be appreciated.

  • @CubicPoison  I don't think the EA App supports bundling yet, but Origin still does.  You can download it from the link here:

    https://answers.ea.com/t5/Origin-Client-Web-Technical/Downloading-and-installing-Origin-Windows-and-Mac/m-p/11915666

It's fine to have both Origin and the EA App installed on your computer; you just can't run both at the same time.  If you get an error when trying to install or run Origin, restart your computer, or open the Task Manager and kill the EABackgroundProcess.exe.

Within Origin, search for Sims 4 and click on the store result (not View in Library) for the base game.  Then scroll down a bit and you'll see a button for bundling.  It's under More > Features, just before Overview.

@rastavrou Origin is a stand alone program. Just download the installer and install it again before EA takes it away. I think EA is trying to merge Origin into the EA app (painfully at times). I still have both. I noticed the EA app doesn't seem to have Sims 3 at all. Stay tuned - things are going to get interesting.

@roberta591 Thank you for your response! When I downloaded the new EA app it must've automatically uninstalled my Origin app. I went and re-installed Origin like you suggested. Thanks again.

@puzzlezaddict thank you for your response. For some reason Origin.com always gives me technical difficulties. I went ahead and reinstalled the Origin app while I still could. Yeah, I was hoping to bundle high school years. I contacted EA support and they alleged it was a technical difficulty on my end. I was advised to "clear cache to fix problems with your games", which accomplished nothing. Thanks again for taking the time to respond.

@puzzlezaddict Hi, it seems this no longer works. Has EA silently removed the ability to build your own bundles at all? I can't find a way to do it anywhere and the Origin app was removed from my PC when I installed the EA app.

@puzzlezaddict Ah, that works! It turns out apparently MWS and High School Years are still unavailable for bundling though ☹️ I wonder if they are intentionally phasing the build-a-bundle feature out since they won't add packs that are so old now to it... That's unfortunate since I was going to buy some packs but definitely won't now since I can't bundle them. Thank you for trying to help though!
