New save will not play after dloading lot from gallery

So I made a new build recently, and noticed that after I had saved it to the gallery, that my Sim would just stand out the front of the lot and could have co nversations, but couldn't go anywhere.  I tried various things including debugging, pressing m and coming back, transferring households, deleting and re-downloading the build, deleting any objects I used the TOOL mod to place....and nothing worked.  The best i could do was to get the Sim to go sit in the onsen, but then she would get stuck in the ground after removing the onsen.

Anyway, so I started a completely new save, with a Sim randomised from the gallery, placed the lot, and THIS Sim not only does nothing, but I cannot even get the time to play!  I press any of the play buttons, fast forward or 2 x speed and nothing - time does not move, Sim does not move, nothing works.  I can go into build mode, and come back out, and while in build mode I can build, but I can't use Live mode at all!!

I have never had ANY issues wit my game before, I d not have any CC or mods installed (removed them from the folder), but ever since the most recent update for businesses and hobbies, I've had nothing BUT issues!  I do not own business and hobbies either, so it shouldn't have affected my game.  Is there a way to roll back the update???  I can't play

  • Jpopper07  The lot you're using may be broken, and breaking your saves.  So don't use it.  If you want to use a Gallery build, test it in a new save first, and only add it to a save you care about once you're satisfied it works properly AND you can reload the save that contains it.

Any sim you've created should be saved to your in-game library, so at least that part of your work isn't completely gone.

Thanks @puzzleaddict What can I di to unbreak the lot then, please?

  • Jpopper07  You can try placing it unfurnished, which helps in some cases.  If you can get into Build/Buy mode on the lot, you can also try saving each room separately, and testing them separately, before reassembling the build (minus any broken rooms) in your main save.

But it's possible the lot won't ever work the way you'd like, or that fixing it would be more work than it's worth, or that fixing it would remove the features that made you want to use it in the first place.  So think about whether you want to put in that amount of effort.
