no online feature option in: game options- other

There is no check-box to activate online features in game options - other. I am therefore unable to access the online gallery. I am aware of the age restriction being why the online option may not be showing, but I am 25 and my birthdate is correct on my account. but there is no green "Adult" label under my age meaning it not verified? I have been in contact with at least 7 EA help agents which no-one could help me. Can anyone here help?

  • klaraavramov  This check box was removed a few patches ago, perhaps because so many players were confused as to why their login event didn't work.  The feature is now permanently on, although you can disable it by putting the EA App in offline mode before launching Sims 4.

Are you unable to see the Gallery at all, or does it not load?  Is the current login event working, or has it worked and you've finished it?

Where are you looking for the "adult" tag: on ea.com, or somewhere else?  I don't remember seeing that on mine, but my Gallery works fine.

thanks for your reply. So, if I understand correctly, there isn't a check box anymore that allows be to activate online features? My Gallery is there but it keeps saying reload or "Attempting to Connect". My marketplace also doesn't want to load.

please note wat I have tried:
from disabling firewall and virus protections for the EA app and Sims4 (both are also checked public and private).
I have restarted, repaired and cleared cache.
     I have restarted my computer.
    I changed sims4 folder to sims4 backup.

  • klaraavramov  Right, there's no box, but the feature is always active as opposed to giving us a choice.  And if you're able to at least see the Gallery tab, you're not blocked for age-related reasons.  Underage accounts don't see the Gallery at all, just their libraries.

Are you able to test with a different internet connection?  For example, if your computer has wifi, you could set your phone as a mobile hotspot, using data rather than your home network.  This test wouldn't use much data, if you're restricted; the point is to see whether you can connect at all.

If that doesn't help, try doing a clean uninstall of the EA App using Revo Uninstaller (the free version is fine).   Restart your computer, download a fresh copy of the App installer, run it, and test again.

The Marketplace issue may be related to the Gallery issue.
