No Sound in SIMS 4

After loading game I noticed there is no sound in the game.  I am running game on Windows 8.1.

    The problem was not the sound driver.  After reviewing the sound setup in my system I noticed it was set to quad.  When I changed the sound setup in SIMS 4 to quad it worked.

    Im confconfused, Iv'e always played the gamr qith sound setting at Quad now all of a sudden it no longer works and will only play sounds on Stereo option.. why is that? The sound was much better on quad option then stereo option..

    I had this problem with no Audio in Sims but all other Audio was working outside of the game- I fixed it by simply restarting it.

    I am having a similar problem. When the game first starts it has sound, but  after a few minutes the sound disapers..
