This happens to me everytime I play the sims, even in the lowest graphics, and it always crashes after it happens. It has been bothering me for months

9cdim33gu4t4 Are the graphics distorted like that all the time; or are you saying the game looks normal until this happens, and then it crashes right afterwards?
Please also provide a dxdiag. Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop. From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.
the second thing, the game looks normal until this happens and then it crashes,, and heres the dxdiag
9cdim33gu4t4 Your dxdiag lists a few crashes of the graphics driver, which would explain the issue, and the driver is also from 2023. So try installing the newest driver available from Intel:
https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/785597/intel-arc-graphics-windows.html
Run the installer as an admin: right-click the download and select "Run as administrator." Restart your laptop afterwards and before trying to play.
If you can't install the driver, use this method:

I installed the newest driver (2026), and it crashed again, this time with weird colors, and there was a little graphic deformity again (the black line that came from the ear), but it was not as present as in the first picture, I had all my mods disabled
9cdim33gu4t4 Then please do a clean uninstall of the graphics driver, as described here:
And reinstall the new one.
If this doesn't help, is your laptop still under warranty, or is there a place you can take it to get tested? I'm not saying it is definitely broken in some way, only that this is now a reasonable possibility. And if this is in fact a hardware issue, you're not going to be able to solve it yourself, at least not completely.
If you can't take the laptop to a store to be examined, I can make some suggestions, but I'm not sure how much they'll help. Let me know.
