Nov. 10 patch made game unable to make copy of save files. There is a workaround that works fine which is open save folder, make copies and rename. The other workaround is open game, use save as while the game is running.

That were always the two options: Use save as and save under a new name or copy the file
How were you able to make copies before ? Are you sure that wasn't some functionality added by a mod ?
I think I don’t know how to do it and blame that broken patch. I rewatch lilsimsie video on it and understood it better and it is working like it is purposely.
