[OFFER ENDED] Issues with getting free Sims 4

Hi, not sure if this is the appropriate place but I thought I'd try here. Apologies if this isn't the correct place!

I was able to download the free version of The Sims 4 and it said it installed as well. However, I was not able to locate the game anywhere. Now, it's giving me the option to download again, and when I choose that option, it shows my disk space minus the amount of GBs of the game. So I'm confused as to why it seems like I have it, but cannot find it anywhere. Should I try downloading again, or is there just something I am missing?

Your post is being merged to the thread on this issue. I have been told that you should try to clear your Origin cache.

Update to my problem--hit download again and it took me straight to install, said install complete, but nothing again. Still not sure what to do?

Quit origin then load it back up. May have to login again but I did that and it worked when I went to the options

Did you start the game at least once ?

I had the same issue but I found a work around that worked for me. In the Origin client on PC I was also only getting the “purchase as a gift” or “put on Wishlist”. I put it on my Wishlist and then went to the top of the client to “view” and then down to “Wishlist” and it actually let me select it and download it from there without going back to the Sims 4 Store page.

I cleared the Origin cache files and restarted my PC prior to posting on here, forgot to mention that. Could there be any other issues not stated in the first post? I have tried the methods in the original post and no luck.

Yes, the game is in my account, in the "My Games" tab. I hit "Install" and "Ready to Install" and nothing happens. Haven't found any thread with my problem so I will go ahead and open my own. Thanks for your help!

I have managed to download my copy but it won't run. It gets to the start up screen then crashes saying there's not enough storage but I have checked my laptop and there is storage. Its also activating windows defender for some reason?
