Game cashes w/o mods

Hi. I just updated my game but it was cashing before that. I toke my mods out and ran the game I was able to get to main menu and I stayed there for like 25 minutes or so and the game was fine but the when I clicked resume it was loading but cashed before getting to live mode and when I had my mom in I made it to live mode before it cashed. I have been having this problem for more than a week now and I’m so tired🫩🫩.I stopped playing the game for a while and when I came back I updated the one before the 5/27/25 update and it had been cashing since then I idk what to do. Can someone plssss help me 😭😭😭

Having said that, your dxdiag shows that your computer's page file is also unnecessarily small, and the breakpoint errors in your screenshot and your dxdiag (lots of them) could be caused by the game running out of memory.  The page file is where excess data is stored that would normally be in RAM but doesn't fit, which is why it's relevant here.  So please increase the page file size, as described here (option one):

Set the minimum to 12288 and the maximum to 16384, and restart your computer.

It's possible that your mods are actually fine but are demanding extra resources that the system can't supply, leading to the breakpoint error.  Or you could have a broken mod.  Point is, you can increase the page file size before testing your mods if you want, as that might fix the problem.

  • 4x53wf4cnpvz  Please let me know whether the game crashes if you create a new save.  I'm not saying you need to abandon your existing saves, only that this is a useful test.

If the new save crashes too, please provide a dxdiag.  Click Windows key-R, enter dxdiag in the run box, wait for the scan to finish, click "Save all information," and save the file to your desktop.  From there, you can attach it to a reply using the paper clip (Attachment) icon included with the other formatting buttons.

puzzlezaddict so I did a few testing and experiments. after I posted this, I ran the game, and it crashed as soon as i got to the main menu it happened 3 times. so i toke out my save files and i was able to create a new game and make a new sim but i didn't spend too long doing that i just randomized it and i was able to do everything up until loading into live mode i crashed on the loading screen.

  • puzzlezaddict so I was looking at other post and I saw somebody said they solve their problem by moving their sims folder from document, it worked for me so I added my mods and it cashed at loading after I clicked resume ( from a new save from when it worked after I removed my sim file from the document) and I got this popup
