So I just bought the Sims4 and i installed origin so i could play. but when i try to open origin it says I'm not connected to the internet and i need to connect in order to play. I am obviously connected to the internet. I tried un-installing and re-installing, turning my connection on and off, run as administrator, but it I just don't get why it thinks I don't have internet. Help?

Make sure you have Proxies turned off. Hey. I had this exact problem. Im just curious does yours say someone else is on your account at the same time as you? if so then don't panic. it just means that you probably have the Origin app open and you have Origin open on google chrome or your searching browser. Close your searching browser one and then sign in on the app. Also make sure that you have internet connection too. Then hopefully it will work. I also suggest trying out a few internet networks but if they ask you for the password then don't bother.

Each time I select some of the alternate link options in your reply I get a message saying I am not logged in or do not have permission. I am definitely logged in. Any other suggestions?

ok so EA support sucks at helping with this issue. (just needed to get that out) after many days of frustration i found a solution for myself. after reading many forums and watching youtube and none of those long and complex methods working i finally got it. i am running windows 10 and it turns out my problem was my antivirus bitdefender so i uninstalled it and now just running the virus protec that comes with windows 10 witch works good. it seems like a lot of antivirus programs affect the connectivity of the app, so try uninstalling your antivirus and test run the app

Just go on Origin and update your game. It should work.

i had vpn running ie:NORD. i just disabled it and it ran fine after that
