Origin thinks The Sims 4 is still there

Well this better not somehow get on a Battlefield 4 board again.

My Sims 4 stopped working, apparently it was missing parts of the game so it kept saying there was an error in launching the game. I tried to uninstall it via Origin but it didn't do anything at all so I used CCleaner to uninstall it. Origin still gives the option to play the game, even when all if it's files are gone. NOW it lets me try to uninstall the game from the control panel but obviously there is nothing listed to uninstall since it's already gone. I tried to install the game again from my physical copy but it doesn't work either since the process opens Origin which thinks there's nothing wrong.

How do I get the game back so I can play it? Origin still tries to launch it when I try to re-install it from the discs.

Anyone??? I really need to play this game to pass some time of my otherwise empty life and I'm pretty close to banging my head against the wall for fun.

@roberta591 I don't know what exactly is the registry (mine is in Finnish) but I uninstalled and deleted the game.

@kadri666  The registry is a database that Windows uses (simple explanation). When you install an application data is collected so the application can be uninstalled. Data created by the application after installation is not known by the uninstaller. How the windows operating system works is very complex and beyond the scope of this forum. Ccleaner is a good program and is usually used to clean the registry. I use a program called Revo uninstaller (there is a free version). TS3 is a complex game and it is not unusual for entries to be abandoned when uninstalled. Most of the times these left over entries are not a problem before most of the time the program is not installed again. There is a way to make Sims 3 do a factory reset (like the first time you played) - google it so there is no reason to do a reinstall unless the core game is damaged. Use ccleaner to clean the registry. You will find being a gamer you will need some basic knowledge of the operating system especially how to keep device drivers up to date.
