Looking to purchase a desktop computer good for sims 4 with extra packs. Looking to spend less than $600 in United States. What should I look for in a PC. I was researching and found this one but wasn’t sure if it was good or not:

adleyamanda This isn't a very good configuration for Sims 4 because its processor and especially the graphics chip are underpowered for the game. That doesn't mean you couldn't play at all, only that the results would probably not be what you're hoping for.
Do you specifically want an all-in-one computer, or are you open to a laptop or a traditional desktop? If the latter, do you have a monitor you could use, or would that need to be part of the budget too, and if so, would you be comfortable buying a secondhand monitor locally, e.g. from Craigslist or Facebook Marketplace? I ask because decent used monitors can be cheap, and although new ones aren't that expensive either, there's a difference between paying $30 and $100 for one.
Doesn’t have to be all in one but would be cheaper. I was looking at mini pc too. And no I don’t have a monitor and have looked secondhand with no luck.

The first is better than the second, but both should be able to run Sims 4 on at least high settings, if not high-ultra. The prices mean I can find you a new monitor and keep you well under budget.

With having to purchase monitor, keyboard and mouse those would be over budget.

If you really don't want a standalone computer, that's fine, but you're not going to get quite the same performance unless you go right up to the limit of your budget. This is the best one I'm seeing for below $600, and it should be able to handle all current Sims 4 packs on high settings, but maybe only barely (depending on how you play):

I checked a number of different sites and didn't find anything better, unless you count a few options from questionable third-party sellers on Amazon. And that's not surprising given the usual price for this tier of hardware in an all-in-one desktop.

These are usually in the $700 range and are decent-quality laptops, no frills but not low-end either.
