Photographer gigs not showing

So I only just got the sims 4 moschino stuff pack. Everything was all fine but as soon as I finished making my sims and building the house I got her in the freelancer photographer career. but as soon as I clicked on the gigs there were none.

I have removed all mods and Cc and the problem was still occurring. This pack was definitely not worth my money to not even be able to play the career. THE WHOLE REASON I BOUGHT THE PACK!!!

I’m not really happy as you can see, not sure if I’m doing something wrong or if it’s a glitch from the latest patch.

Please help me 😓

@xoainzoxo Could you try the following (Unless I completely messed up my test, this worked for me)

As the issue appears to be on all Sims, it's not sims specific and you can probably do this with any Sim you like

    1. Choose any other freelancer trade (that doesn't rely on the sketchpad)
    2. Choose a gig (there should be gigs showing up)
    3. Do that gig in full
    4. Switch back to photography
    5. You should now have gigs.

Something else to note: The computer of the house of the last played household produced routing issues because of the speaker on the table. If you remove that, there should be no issues using the computer.

  • HI @xoainzoxo

Try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-4/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps-amp-Known-Issues/m-p/3621199

You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files  and make a backup.

After renaming, repair your game by right clicking on the game in Origin.

Try on a new game with nothing added back first (start new game). If it works, put back your save game and try again. If it still works, you can start putting stuff back.

    • Options.ini (or just re-set all your settings manually)
    • Tray Folder
    • Screenshots/Videos/Custom music
    • Rest of the save games (leave out slot_00000001.save which is the autosave and no longer needed - if you still have it)
    • Custom content like clothing, hair, skins, make up ....
    • ConfigOverride, if you have your own configuration files.
    • Mods (one by one, making sure they all still work)

The rest does not need putting back, cause they are mostly cache files that recreate or log files that are not needed for the game.

  • So I followed the steps to reset my files and it worked when I had gone on a completely new save. However, as soon as I started putting my files back in and  I wanted to see if it was working on my normal save. It didn't work and I had the same issue is there any way I can fix it so I can keep my save and not have to create an entirely new one. I also had repaired the game on Origin.

Also not sure if this might have caused or affect the problem in the first place, but I have downloaded a savefile from a YouTuber and added my own sims to it. I didn't have all the packs that the YouTuber had used in the savefile so that could be an issue.

Thanks for trying, do you think it might be the savefile that I had downloaded from the YouTuber. If so I will probably just start a new save so I don't have to encounter the problem.

    Kind Regards

@xoainzoxo Would you mind sending me your save ? Instructions in my signature

Would be interesting to see if I can duplicate. Unless that save you downloaded was corrupted, then this shouldn't happen.
  • Ok I've messaged you the savefile.

My sim is wearing some CC so it might be naked XD

    Kind Regards

  • Ok so It worked the gigs had showed up as soon as I changed back to the photographer freelancer career. Tysm for your help I don’t know what I would have done without you

Also I had used cc for the computer desk stuff so it obviously changed it to an object from the game. Hadn’t been having any routing issues anyway.

    Thanks agian 😁
