I have also had this issue and can't load into my game.

I wish I could help but unfortunately I am having the same issue and I spent all day yesterday removing mods and CC to see if they were the cause but I had no luck in that regard I just think the game has a stupid bug from the new update and EA needs to fix it but if that's not the case I would enjoy being proven wrong by someone giving us a solution that isn't telling us to do something we have already tried and hasn't worked. 🙂

Hi! I have had the same problem and ive spent all day trying to do the 50/50 mod and cc removal!!! Ive gotten so close to figuring out what's wrong with it but loading my game over and over is so annoying!!! I've updated all my mods and removed certain folders in my mods folder and still haven't figured it out!!! I had this same problem on my laptop and it fixed it with removing my mods and playing without them for a bit. I believe I fixed it after tho!!! Can't remember how tho of course!!!

I have the same problem and ı dpnt have any moods ın my game or anythıng but ıt stıll doesnt work

To add to the things that I have tried to do to fix it I can say that updating your graphics card doesn't fix it and neither does running the game in DirectX 9. So, I'm running out of possible solutions and patience.👍

It seems like a lot of people are having this issue after the latest update. I just updated the game this morning and am now having the same problem (despite anything I do with mods or repairing) where I make it to the loading screen and then it kicks me back to the world map. Sounds like another EA issue. 

Hi! I had the same issues I remove all mod and cc ( clothes and hair ) and it works . But when I put back CC ( No mods ) it doesn’t work ! I won’t play without CC so I will wait maybe another update will fix the problem.

I was worried I was alone in this ! I am also having this problem me and my daughter both tried troubleshooting and nothing seemed to work. It started happening yesterday evening. It started after completing a build. It will let me build and move a family on the lot but it won't let me play the family. I even tried different plots and different worlds to no avail. I hope this is remedied soon!!

This has been happening to me since the new update and today i finally took out the mods that were broken, i made a new save file to test it and it worked there after i removed the broken mods. However when i tried to open one of my old save files the household does not load and it kicked me back to the world screen, i cleared the cache, still the same. I was freaking out thinking my save file was probably damaged bcs it was the one i opened after the update but i think it might be just a bug that everyone is experiencing. Im too scared to open any other save so yea. I really hope its just a bug bcs the save file in question is the one i use to build new houses and i spent A LOT of hours and i didnt save the unfinished houses on the gallery so if i lose all that work i dont even know if i wanna play the sims anymore

so there was this message when i loaded my game this evening that i missed and upon trying to get to saved game i had issues that sound a lot like everyone else in this thread. i tried loading with mods off. i tried repairing. i uninstalled and redownloaded. this last time i have uninstalled and deleted all saved games and files under documents for the electronic arts app as well. so far i can load to try and build a new game with a new family

i had to remove my scripts. they have a few updates. adeepindiga, sac life tragedies and ww broke mine.

so update....i know everyone else wants to fix their games and i just want to play and build... so the easiest fix for me was to completely wipe everything off my computer and start over...no big deal for me other than i was starting to like the game i had saved. Oh well...anyways i really hope they get this game fixed for everyone and good all
